Kinnaur Kailash trek is one of the most popular of Indian which is full of Challenges. Kinnaur Kailash is a beautiful mountain situated in Kinnaur district in the state of Himachal Pradesh. It is a high altitude destination with 6500 mts above the sea level. Kinnaur kailash is a holy place and abode of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. This region is known as Kinnaur Kailash Shivaling which is 79 ft vertical rock that is changes color naturally through the course of the day. This is a sacred place by both Hindu and Buddhist and this mountain is called Mount Kailash in Tibet. It is such an amazing and challenging route that is taken by Pilgrims and locals to reach the holy rock and the trek can be done during 10- 12 days.
According to the legends it is believed that this place is associated with lord Shiva and Mata Parvati. A beautiful and natural pond located near Kailash peak which is called Parvati Kund because it was created by Goddess Parvati. This is the meeting place of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. It also believed that Lord Shiva constructed a meeting of God and Goddess here in every winter. Thus every year during the winters the yatra take place.
The Trek starts from tangling village which is 11 km before Recong Peo head quarter, 260 km from Shimla. This village is situated at the left bank of Satluj River. This region is a land of fairy tales, has a lush green valley, Fresh and pure environment, orchards, amazing snow capped Himalayan peaks and the coldest desert mountains, rich flora & fauna etc which makes it different. Its culture and language is different from other states of India. It also the border district of Himachal. The best time to visit is from May to September. During the summer the temperature is very pleasant but in winter the temperature level is down zero degree.
