Mashobra is a beautiful small town situated in the Shimla district in the state of Himachal Pradesh. It is situated at a distance of 15 km from Shimla with at an elevation of 2500 mts above the sea level. This charming hill station is popularly known for its amazing nature beauty, greenery, flora and fauna and pilgrimages. Mashobra is surrounding by the dense covered forests of oak and pines. It is a captivating hill station which is surrounding by the mesmerizing beauty. During the early years British used this place to spend their leisure.
It is an abode of Indian President and once was the holiday place for Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru. Every year the president of India visit Mashobra when they conduct officials business meeting with their dignitaries at Chharabra. The building was constructed in 1850 which is completely made of wooden structure. This building consist 16 rooms and covered an area of 300 acres forest compound. Chharabra is the great example of British architecture. Every year only two weeks the president occupies this building during the summer season after that this building is used by Government of India.
Una is a popular hill station which is a cultural and religious hub of Himachal Pradesh. It is located in between rugged mighty mountains and a hidden nature jewel of green Himachal. Sikh Guru Shri Arjan Dev, the fifth Guru of Sikhs was given the name to the town and the hindi meaning of Una is “Unnati” or Success. It is popularly known as the Gateway to Himachal Pradesh which is situated at an elevation of 369 mts above the sea level and it is the lowest elevation city in the state. Una has been carved out of Hoshiarpur district of Panjab in 1966 when the hilly areas of Panjab were transferred to Himachal Pradesh. Lot of the historical Places and religious temples makes the Una a famous tourist attraction in Himachal Pradesh. The pleasant weather attracts the tourists from all around the country. Due to a religious place thousands of the devotees take part to visit Una.
Gurudwara Dera Baba Bharbhag is one of the major attractions of Una which is dedicated to social reformer and spiritual leader “Baba Gurbarbhag Singh”. This is a religious place of Sikhs community located on a hill side. Chintpurni Temple is one of the most religious temples dedicated to Goddess Shakti. Apart from this around 25 km from Una district Bhwarwain is located which is an ideal destination for trekking and Nature lovers. Govind sagar Dam is the other major attraction situated at a distance of 78 km from Una which is popularly known for adventurous activities like swimming kayaking, water rafting, water skiing etc.

Dera Baba Bharbhag Singh: This is a religious Sikhs shrine, every year thousands of the Sikhs visit to get the blessing of Baba Bharbhag Singh. This Gurudwara was known as the Dera which is situated at a distance of 40 km from Una. Once can reach directly from Chandigarh by road, train or Air. This Gurudwara is situated at the top of the hill and surrounding by the thick forest. A big and famous fair Baba Bharbhag Singh is held here which is attended by the huge number of Pilgrimage for both Hindu and Sikh community. This fair is held at the time of holi and famous for treatment of mental problems. This is a unique fair held in India.
Chintpurni Temple: Chintpurni temple is one of the most popular attractions of Devotees. This temple is referred as the 51th shakti Peethas located in Una Himachal Pradesh. It is a most important shakti peeths dedicated to Goddess Shakti. In the form of a stone the goddess is situated inside the temple which is known as Pindi. Thrice a year Mata da Mela is organized in Chintpurni village in the month of August during 10 days.
Pong Dam: It is a popular and most famous tourist attraction in Una which is constructed across the river Beas. It is the home of a wildlife sanctuary located 450 mts above the sea level. Huge number of birds and animals species are spot here like- leopards, deer, sambar and wild boars etc. Apart from that this dam is a perfect place for picnic and photography. Lot od rare species of birds spotted here.
Thaneek Pura: This is a hill station located near Chintpurni Temple which is situated at an elevation of 950 mts above the sea level. This is a charming hill station which is popularly known for its various temples and fairs. The fairs and festivals attend by a huge no to devotees from Hindu and Sikh community.
Kaleshwar: Kaleshwar temple is a religious temple of Una and it is believed that this temple was around 400 years old. Kaleshwar temple was built by the Pandawas during the period of exile. It is a holy temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Kaleshwar Temple is famous for its annual fair which is celebrated in between May and June, attend by the thousands of devotees.
Kila Baba Bedi Ji: Kila Baba Bedi ji is a historical place situated at the top of the mountain. This mausoleum is a dome which offered the most amazing views of surrounding. It is a popular tourist spot which is present an interesting Indian and Afghani style of architecture.
Gobind Sagar Lake: It is situated near Sutlej River and comes under the Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh. This lake is 50 km long and covers an area of 170 sq km. The lake got its name from tenth and last Guru of Sikhs.
By Air: Sri Ram Das Jee international Airport is the nearest Airport which takes 2 hours drive to reach Una, situated in Amritsar. It is well connected to the major cities of India like Delhi, Chandigarh, Srinagar and Mumbai etc. Outside the Airport Taxies and buses are easily available to reach Una.
By Train: Una has its own Railway Station which is well connected with the major cities like Rupnagar, Chandigarh, Ambala, Delhi etc.
