Bhuntar is a small quaint town located in the state of Himachal Pradesh in Kullu district. It is a beautiful town which is situated on the confluence of the Parbati and Beas rivers. Bhuntar is a charming location offered the amazing nature charm and serve as the gateway to the major tourist destination Kullu and Manali. The snow capped mountains surrounding bhuntar and offered the various opportunities to explore the nature charm. It is situated at a distance of 10 km from kullu with at an elevation of 2050 mts above the sea level. The fair is held in the month of June to July for 3 days celebrating of new harvesting crops.

Bhuntar is not well known destination like Manali Shimla among the tourists. But it is a charming destination and less crowded.


Best time to visit Bhuntar:

Summer: Summer begins from March to till June with the pleasant temperature. The days are warm with 20 degree and the nights are cool with 8 degree Celsius. Summer is the perfect time to visit and sightseeing. Summer is peak season but also carry some cotton clothes.
Winter: September is the starting month of winter to till February in bhuntar. During the winter the temperature does not rise 15 degree Celsius. December to till February is the most charming months at Bhuntar. During December to till February bhuntar received heavy snow fall. January to February is an ideal time for nature lovers and honeymooners.
Monsoon: During the monsoon bhuntar receives infrequent rainfall. Monsoon begins from June to till August and greenery makes the destination amazing.


Visiting place in Bhuntar:

Basheshwar: Basheshwar temple is one of the major attractions of Bhuntar and believed that this temple was built by Pandawas. It is a religious and beautiful temple decorated with stone carving all around the idols. Basheshwar Temple is one the biggest temple of which is dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Bijali Mahadev: Bijli Mahadev temple is one of the oldest temples in Bhuntar built in 8th century A.D. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva situated at a distance of 4 km from Bhuntar Airport. It is the largest stone carving temple in kullu and offered the amazing style of Archecture.

Jagannath Temple: Jagannath Temple is surrounding by the lush green mountains located in Bhuntar town. This temple is holds great faith among the tourists which is dedicated to Lord Jagannath and has a great religious significance for Hindu devotees. This temple is a paradise for god lovers but also nature lovers. The charming surrounding, pilgrimages, verdant mountain, snow capped mountains etc increase the charm of the place. Chandrakhani Pass: It is an amazing pass offered the most beautiful views of Parvati valley with malana valley to kullu. It is situated at an elevation of 3600 mts above the sea level which is popularly known for its majestic nature beauty. The pass is a perfect trekking trail and May to till October is the best time to visit this pass.

Adi Badri Temple: Adi Badri temple is a religious place situated in Khokhan village with at a distance of 4 km from Bhuntar. This is a beautiful temple made by huge wooden.

Triyug Narayan Temple: This temple is situated at a distance of 12 km from bhuntar which is dedicated to lord Vishnu offered the amazing style of architecture. This temple was built in 800 AD. Inside the temple complex a four feet high statue of lord Vishnu is situated here.

Manali: Manali is a charming destination which is known as the honeymoon capital of India. The amazing snow capped mountain, beautiful greenery, landscape, water stream, nature beauty, pleasant weather, fresh and pure environment etc makes it more attractive. River Beas increased the charm of the place. Lots of the nature and adventure lovers visit Manali every year. It is situated at an elevation of 6260 ft above the sea level. The Beas Kund, Chandrakhani Pass, Rohtang pass, Solang valley, Parvati valley etc are the major attraction of Manali. How to reach Bhuntar:

By Air: Bhuntar has its own Airport which is known as the Kullu Manali Airport. You will take 1 hour 30 minutes to reach Bhuntar from Airport. Outside the airport taxies and buses are easily available to reach.
By Train: The nearest Railway station is Pathankot situated around 144 km away from bhuntar. Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur, Lucknow, ahmedabad jammu tawi, etc are well connected to Pathankot. Outside the taxies and buses are easily available to reach Bhuntar from Pathankot.
By Road: Bhuntar is well connected to the major cities of Himachal Pradesh with strong road connectivity.
